Kathryn Louise Klumpner (nee Lockrey), also referred to fondly by many as “Kitti K”, passed away peacefully at home in Stratford, ON, surrounded by her family on Friday January 6th, 2023 in her 66th year. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Mandi Klumpner and Cheri Klumpner and her son Kevin Donaldson and her best friend and canine companion “Miss Molly”. Kathy was also blessed to be very proud “Nana” to her four grandchildren, Dominic, Zoe, Annabelle and Michael. She is also survived by her father Lorne Lockrey (Cecille) of Southampton, her mother Ruth Lang of Stratford and her siblings, Tom Lockrey, Laura Leyser (Dave), Kris Bryn (Paul) and Tabytha Lang (David).
Kathy was a long-time employee of F.A.G. Bearings before her retirement. She spent her free days in the outdoors, camping, fishing and enjoying nature and always held onto the dream that one day she would retire and live in a “Tiny House”. Kathy was well known for her caring and giving nature and love of laughter throughout her entire life, a ferocious sense of humour that she held right up until the end.
In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Eric Thomas and the Palliative Team who were there with her throughout her journey. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Stratford Humane Society, through W.G. Young Funeral Home.
