Park, Sister Doreen Ann(e) (formerly Sister Anthony Daniel) entered Eternal Life on May 7th, 2023 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Tecumseh in 1931, the daughter of the late Ernest and Nellie (McGuigan) Park. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham in 1949. During her religious life she served as principal and teacher in Windsor and Wallaceburg. She was Directress of St. Ursula’s Merici Centre from 1991 to 1997. Sister also ministered for many years at Riverside Place Long-Term Care Facility in Windsor. In 2016 she moved to Villa Angela in Chatham. She is survived by her sisters Kathleen Renaud and Mary Ellen Nantais.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 2 p.m., in the Kiva at St. Angela’s Meadow Retirement Lodge, 20 Merici Way, Chatham.
The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10th at 10 a.m. in the Kiva at St. Angela’s Meadow Retirement Lodge, 20 Merici Way, Chatham.
Masks are required at both services.
Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Sister Doreen Ann may be made to “Chatham Ursuline Charities”, 20 Merici Way, Chatham, Ontario or to the charity of your choice.
