Richard Dupuis
On Saturday April 29th, in his 71st year, Richard (Rick) Dupuis passed away peacefully at his home in Roblindale surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 6, 1952 to Edward and Bernice Dupuis in Sudbury, Ontario, Richard (Philip Kenneth) became the youngest sibling to Garnet and Patricia.
Three years after first meeting at a high school dance in Sydenham, on September 8, 1973, Rick married Debbie Kendrick. They settled down, working together, to make a beautiful home in Roblindale, Ontario. Rick worked as a stone mason before becoming a guard and then manager at Quinte Detention Centre where he retired after a 34 year career.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, his three sons, Josh, Jacob (Terri), and Jesse (Rebecca), his sister Pat and Brother-in-law, David, his brother Garnet, and his ten grandchildren: Caleb, Gus, Camden, Cassie, Claire, Oliver, Mylo, Finn, Amelia, and Auden.
Rick was a loyal husband and devoted father who will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, his dedication to helping others, and his charismatic ability to entertain everyone around him with a story and a joke.
Family will receive friends at Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm and again on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00am-11:00am with a Memorial service to follow at 11:00am with a procession afterward to a private Celebration of Life.
