Obituary of Paul Ronald Joseph Roy
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Paul Ronald Joseph Roy announces his sudden passing which occurred at Saint John Regional Hospital on April 25, 2023. While Paul was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on July 14, 1975, and raised in Saint John; he was a man of the west and spent most of his adult life in Vancouver. He was the son of Sharon Roy and the late Ronald Roy.
Paul graduated from Simonds High in 1994 and from then on discovered he was a true tradesman by heart. He could take apart and build anything he put his mind to, especially if it involved a car or motorcycle. He loved getting his hands dirty and didn’t mind a challenge. If it was broken, Paul could fix it!
In his earlier years, if he wasn’t working or tinkering away at a vehicle, he could be found fishing, hiking, or hunting. He also had a love for hockey (Go Bruin’s) and the Blue Jay’s.
Paul was a hardworking, resilient man who always had something on the go, but he still found time for his friends and family. He loved to make people laugh, always going the extra mile to crack a joke or make a funny face. “Party on guys, life is short!!”
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his mother Sharon; sister Tanya Lanigan (Thomas); two nieces, Alyssa McCluskey (Scott) and Robyn Lanigan (Roger); his great nieces and nephew; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his father Ronald Roy; both his maternal and paternal grandparents; and many extended family members.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
