Obituary of Douglas Warren Conrad
Douglas was called by his Lord and Savior into His presence, in his 94th year, where he was reunited with his wife Shirley (2007). Doug’s love and devotion for his family will be forever remembered by his children Doreen (Paul) Jones, Sharon, Warren (Risé), Brenda (Robert) Matheson and Marilyn. Also will be remembered by his 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, Mark Patterson and Pat Leishman. A long-time member of the Hamilton First Church of the Nazarene. Doug will be remembered for his story telling, woodworking talents, love of history, photography and for the enjoyment he had watching the Blue Jays. Special thanks to the VON, PSWs and medical staff at St. Joseph’s hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Doug. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Saturday, April 29th at 11 a.m. at Crown Point Community Church, 92 Ottawa St. N., Hamilton, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
