Rev. Claudia Dawn Kitson (nee. Palmer)
Born January 16th, 1942 in Astle, New Brunswick, went on to be with her Lord in early afternoon on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Simcoe Manor in Beeton, Ontario. Beloved by so many, it is with both sadness for our loss but joy for her to be reunited with her parents, Claude and Claretta (nee. Clowater) Palmer to once again worship together. Music was a big part of Claudia’s life working with countless people through her choir directing and cantatas that included the youngest to the most seasoned vocalists. Having acquired her theological degree at Queen’s University, Claudia lovingly served so many as Minister in the United Church of Canada first in the Odessa/Napanee, ON, Pastoral Charge, Tryon Pastoral Charge, PEI and finally in the Cavendish/Breadalbane, PEI, Pastoral Charge. Claudia will be dearly missed by her brother, Paul Leonard Palmer (Celeste) and nephew, Adam Troy Palmer. She will be greatly missed by her best friend Betty Gamester. She was predeceased by her son William Robert Milburn (Ginette Rose) but lives on in her three daughters, Helen Dawn Frigualt (Fred), Trelani Faith Chapman, and Andrea Beth Milburn (John Roberts), as well as her twelve beloved grandchildren Carrie, Tara, Paul, Trelani, Joshua, Julia, Devan, Remi, Cori, Adam, Ethan and Hannah and five great grandchildren Kevin, Ashton, Trayvin, Claudia, and Theodore. Funeral services to be held on August 5th at 1pm at Boisetown United Church in Boisetown , New Brunswick with family and friends in celebration of her life. Burial to follow in Astle, NB. Online condolences may be made at Drury Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Parkinson’s Canada or Central Trinity United Church Youth, PEI. Many thanks to the staff and administration at Simcoe Manor in Beeton for their care and compassion of Claudia.

I so enjoyed Claudia’s friendship during her time at Odessa pastoral charge. i was her secretary for a time and even traveled east with her when she moved there. Her parents were very welcoming and it was a great trip. sorry we had not connected the last few years. A great lady.
