After a brief illness, Ronald Clarence Walker passed away at the age of 83 years at the St. Boniface hospital on April 13, 2023.
Left the cherish Ron’s memory is his beloved wife of 29 years, Marsha Marie Walker (NEE McEvoy). Ron will also be lovingly remembered by sons Alan (Vanessa) of Nanaimo BC, and Richard (Nicole) of Vancouver, BC; daughters Mary Flick (Dean) of Winnipeg, MB, Tammy Robinson (Don) of Ladysmith, BC, Melinda Erickson Harms (Odin) of Edmonton, AB, Valdine (Graeme) of Winnipeg, MB, Melanie Walker (Derek) of Morden, MB, Crystal (Ed) of Winnipeg, MB, Sandra McEvoy of Winnipeg, MB and step daughter Dee-Dee. He will also be lovingly remembered by his 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Garrow (John) of Nanaimo, BC; and niece Lyanna Garrow (Bill).
Ron was pre-deceased in life by his parents, Bill and Violet Mary Walker; brother Alan; and nephew Jason Garrow.
Ron was born on August 18, 1939 in Vancouver, BC and later moved to Winnipeg, MB.
In Ron’s younger years he played the accordion professionally and had his own band that toured many cities. He loved attending events and crib tournaments at Legion 9 in Winnipeg. He was well liked and had many friends. Ron will be missed by many!

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 9 at 920 Nairn Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
