Bathurst – Wayne Jones, of Lavigne St., Bathurst, passed away on Friday April 21, 2023, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 68.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Kennedy and Rita (Stever) Jones.
He was retired from the former Brunswick Mines and was a passionate musician.
He is survived by his partner, Kelly Huard of Bathurst and two children: Christine Jones (Barcley Knowles) of Janeville and Lucas Jones (Breanna) of Edmonton, AB.
Two grandchildren: Keithen and Dominic.
One brother, Blair Jones (Margo) of Bathurst.
Two sisters: Shirley Jones of Bathurst and Joanne Hachey (Regis) of Sainte-Rosette.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choi
