Burton’s Obituary
CLAIRMONT, Burton John – age 66, Summerille, NS passed away on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. He was a son of the late Everette (Pinkneys Point) and Alice (Doucette) (Wedgeport) Clairmont. Burton worked as a lobster fisherman for over 30 years, he loved being on the water. Burton was a jack of all trades, you could often find him outside, either working on many vehicles or playing softball. He was a big family man, he enjoyed summer barbeques and campfires with his family and friends. Burton is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Holly (Scoville) Clairmont, their children Trevor (Deanna) Clairmont and Vanessa (Randy) Rodgerson; grandchildren Jayven and Tyren Clairmont, Colton and Kolby Rodgerson and Ethan, Korbin and Taylor Doucet. Also surviving is his brother Alvin Clairmont. Burton is predeceased by his parents. A visitation will take place on Friday, April 21st, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m., a funeral will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 at 11 a.m., both from Huskilson’s Funeral Chapel, Yarmouth. Rev Bill Newell officiating Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Burton may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
