Passed away suddenly at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Sunday April 16, 2023 at the age of 84. Beloved best friend and husband of over 60 years to the late Dorothy Kuzmyk. Devoted father, proud grampa and great grampa to Susan Thomson (Mike Thomson), Cathy Kuzmyk (Mathew King), and Gordon Kuzmyk (Jennifer Gillett). Cherished grandfather to Paige Ferriss (Trevor Ferriss), Natalie Fournier and Tom Macleod, Cooper Squirrell and Melizza , Toby Squirrell, Kyle Kuzmyk and Eva Kuzmyk. Great-grandfather to Liam and Owen Ferriss. Predeceased by his brother Peter. Dearly missed by his brother Roy (Liz), his in-laws; Audrey (Ted), Nancy and extended family in Oakville and Cobourg. Cremation has taken place. The Celebration of Life will take place at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound) on Saturday April 29, 2023 at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. If desired, donations to the Anglers and Hunters/Parry Sound Pistol club, Good Fellows Lodge and Waubuno Shrine Club.
Albert was a valued member of the community; he influenced many lives as a teacher at PSHS where he passionately taught wood working for over 30 years. In his spare time Al would spend countless hours in his shop. He was actively involved with Anglers and Hunters, P.S pistol club, Good Fellows Lodge and Waubuno Shrine Club and really enjoyed his cards with his card buddies and the lovely ladies at the Gardens. Albert was an inspiration and had the ability to light up the room with his presence, he was known for his warm smile, great sense of humor, kindness and generosity.
He was admired and adored by all and will be greatly missed.
