Donna passed away (unexpectedly, suddenly) at home in her 74th year on January 1, 2023. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 37years Donald John Copeland.
Donna is also survived by her mother Amy Spiers and siblings Carolyn Clark (Bob), Douglas Spiers (Heather), June Dickson and Cathy Edwards (Billy Stenton). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Grenville Spiers.
Donna was born and raised in Huntsville. She moved to Barrie to work at Ontario Hydro and lived her adult life there. Retirement allowed her freedom to volunteer, knit, sew and do jigsaw puzzles as well as enjoy her beloved “furry friends”.
Donna and Don moved to Huntsville in 2017. She was able to renew old high school friendships and extend help to aging family members.
Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in the spring at Ravenscliffe Anglican Church Cemetery. Watch this site for updated information as it becomes available.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital, 100 Frank Miller Drive, Huntsville ON P1H 1H7
