Obituary
Passed peacefully away on Monday, August 1, 2022, following a series of tragic and unfortunate events; while in the presence of his loving parents and family, including girlfriend April, who provided him with his greatest gift in life – his baby girl Scarlett, Zachary Alexander Dobbin, of St. Joseph’s, St. Mary’s Bay, aged 24 years.
Predeceased by his sister Madison and “Nan” Peggy Chafe.
Leaving to mourn the true love of his life, his daughter Scarlett, his girlfriend April Barnes, Mom Joanie (Butch Cave), Dad Alex Chafe (Andrea), sisters Taralynn and Brooke; brothers: Eddie, Jessie and Adam; grandparents Ralph & Doreen Dobbin and John Chafe, uncles Ralph (Vanessa) Dobbin and Shawn Chafe, aunt Tammie Chafe, niece and nephew Aurora and Ian, cousins Logan and Mackenzie and a large circle of extended family and friends, including his best friend Johnny.
A heartfelt thanks and gratitude is extended to doctors, nurses and staff of 3 CN – St. John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick, the ICU Dept. and 5 South A – Health Science Centre, St. John’s, Newfoundland and to everyone else for their kindness, support, prayers and positive thoughts during this heartbreaking and painful journey, only to be lead by the thought of his big laugh and beautiful smile which be forever etched in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to honor his memory will be held on Saturday, August 27, at 2pm, at his home in St. Joseph’s (452 Main Road) – Everyone is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to a Trust Fund in support of Zachary’s daughter Scarlett, in care of Joanie at joaniedobbin@hotmail.com
