Yvonne Ann Reid 1934 2022

Obituary of Yvonne Ann Reid
Yvonne Ann Reid (nee Dukes), 87, of Stouffville, ON passed away peacefully at Sunrise Long Term Care in Unionville.
She is survived by her husband Robert Reid, with whom she would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in March of this year.
She will be greatly missed by her two children, James (aka Jake) Reid, and Tracey (Shawn) Robinson, and the rest of her family.
Born in Kinistino, SK in 1934, she moved at a young age to Vancouver.
She trained as a Registered Nurse, and worked as a “stewardess” for Trans Canada Airline for several years, and often told stories about her flights on the “Super Connie”.
After choosing Montreal as her home base, she met Bob, and they married and raised their family there.
The family moved to Markham in 1979, and with both kids in school, she decided to go back to school to refresh her nursing certificate, and spent many years working as an RN at Biovail Pharma Sciences.
She and Bob were avid golfers, and long-time members of Sleepy Hollow GC in Stouffville, where they found an incredible circle of friends.
Yvonne was very active throughout her life and enjoyed much time skiing in the winter months, golfing in the summer, and spent many summers camping with the family.
She and Bob made a point to travel every year, across the country, in the US, and around the globe, bringing back with them wonderful stories, memories, and photos of their many great adventures.
There will be no service at this time. The family will be planning a Celebration of Life, to be held in the spring or early summer, with details to follow.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Yvonne
