It is with great sadness the family of Yvonne Marie (Tucker) McGinnis wish to announce her passing on Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in 1942 in the Miramichi to the late Benedict and Alice (Nash) Tucker, and she was the wife of Edward E. McGinnis.
Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband, Edward E. McGinnis, one son; Todd McGinnis, of Saint John, two daughters; Stacy (Paul) Coyle, of Saint John, Tammy (Jamie) Sweet, of Quispamsis, four grandchildren; Matthew Coyle, Sarah Sweet, Daniel Sweet, and Katelyn Sweet, brothers; Clarence (Merd) Tucker, of Miramichi, two sisters; Eileen Underhill, of Saint John, and Muriel (Wardy) Underhill, of Miramichi, and several nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was predeceased by her brothers Harold Tucker, Gerald Tucker and sister Maude McCormack. Her love for her family and friends and spending as much time as she could in the Miramichi was what she lived for. She enjoyed singing with her niece Geraldine and long conversations on the phone with her sisters. Yvonne wished for peace and harmony in everyone’s lives and was always the light in every room.
A graveside service will take place at St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, in Renous, on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 1 pm.
Donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
