Yvette Georgette Rickard (nee Verpoort)
It is with great sadness we share the passing of Yvette Rickard on Sunday July 10th, at the age of 91, loving mother, grandma, and great grandma.
Mom was born on April 20, 1931 in Goodlands , MB. She attended teachers’ college and taught in the Deloraine area for a number of years. She married dad (Cliff) July 1, 1952 and went on to have 5 children. She was a very fun-loving mother and grand mother and Auntie. She was known for her quick wit, political debates, sense of humour, and her love of books.
Yvette was predeceased by her husband Clifford, son Ricky Dean, and daughter Tara Lee. Surviving family left to cherish her memory are her children, Shannon (Brad), Ron (Chris)and Randy (Mary-Ann) her grandchildren, Tyler (Brandy), Mallory (Serge), Jacey (Craig) Jenna, Josh, Robert, Samantha , Hyde, Cohen, Pearce and grandchildren, Hayla, Axton, Tayve, Hux and Kielle, and her loving nieces and nephews, dear friends, Betty and Dennis.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Graveside memorial will be held in Del-Win Cemetery, Deloraine, MB, Friday, August 19th at 11:00am. Bring a lawn chair if you wish.
