Yenta, Verna Irene
Verna Yenta passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Chesley Hospital in her 90th year.
Born in Haliburton on February 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Loretta (nee Coneybeare) Henderson.
Verna was predeceased by her beloved husband Glenn Yenta in 2017.
She was the patient and loving mother of Michael (Sharon) Yenta, Kathryn (Kevin) Sherwood, and Nicole (Rick) Magness.
Verna was the proud Grandma of Jordan (Anthony) Ferguson, Peter Yenta, Ceanna Sherwood, Mackenzie (Emily) Vergeson, and Gabriella Magness.
She was the dear sister of Betty Parrish (late Ron), Evelyn Olesen (Cameron), and was predeceased by her sister Marjorie Brennan. Verna will be remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and their families.
Verna truly treasured and looked forward to spending time with her family. She will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Verna’s family will receive friends for a public visitation at Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2 until 4 p.m. A public funeral mass will be conducted at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Meaford on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 1 o’clock. Masks are required and we ask that all Covid-19 rules and regulations are respected to keep everybody safe.
