Wyman Laughren Saturday January 1st 2022

It is with sadness that the family of Wyman Laughren announces his passing on January 1, 2022, in his 94th year. Predeceased by his wife Theresa Anne (1987), his son Stephen Warren (2019), his parents, James and Margaret, his brothers, Walter and Garnet and his sister Sarah.
Wyman’s children – Leslie (Petra Emerson), Patricia (Mike Dupuis) and Gail (Blair McEwen) remember him fondly as a kind and generous man, an enthusiastic outdoorsman, expert gardener, and a skilled curler and golfer.
Following his retirement from Atomic Energy of Canada, Wyman volunteered and traveled widely. Always ready for an adventure, he visited countries on five continents, and his travels brought him enduring friendships and memories, and a tremendous amount of fun.
He is remembered and cherished as a loving Grandpa and Papa by his seven grandchildren; Christopher and Jennifer (children of Patricia and Mike), Jed (wife Jennifer), David and Kevin (children of Leslie and the late Jackie Laughren), Meagan (husband Kurtis Gerein) and Katharine (children of Gail and Blair), and by his great-granddaughter Greta Gerein.
A private family service was held Friday, January 7, 2022 at Murphy Funeral Home in Pembroke. A full life, well and truly lived, will be celebrated later in the summer when friends can safely gather.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
