Winnifred’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Winnifred Jean MacDonald (nee Dale) with her loving family by her side on Monday, February 14th, 2022 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 68 years.
Winnifred was the daughter of the late Chesley and Charlotte Dale (nee Matthews). She was predeceased also by her father and mother-in-law; George and Julia MacDonald (nee Parsons).
Leaving behind with many fond and wonderful memories her loving husband; George MacDonald, sons; Troy (Eleanor) MacDonald, Robert (Denise) MacDonald, grandchildren; Cassie MacDonald, Julia MacDonald, Haley Food, Vanessa Flood, and her great-grandson; Adian Flood.
Winnifred will forever remain in the hearts of her brothers; Lloyd Dale, Edward (Kathy) Dale, sister; Rosalie (Calvin) Musseau, brothers and sisters-in-law; Kathleen (Emmanuel) Baker, Bernice (Clifford) LeRiche, Walter (Carrie) MacDonald, Minnie MacDonald, Leroy MacDonald and Renee Goddin.
In keeping with Winnifred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 21st from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques officiated by Joan Chaisson and Rev. Jane Allen. Interment will take place at a later date. Due to the latest Government regulations your Newfoundland VaxPass, photo ID, masks and social distancing are required for entry to the visitation and memorial service. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Winnifred can be made to the family.
