Wilson’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Wilson Howard Hampton announce his passing on August 7th,2022 at 4:02 pm. after his battle with cancer, at the age of 68 years.
Wilson loved painting and woodworking. He also enjoyed mechanical work, fixing quads, skidoos and bikes. He’s had a long wonderful history of helping those in need. Wilson loved his family and friends and was devoted to his grandchildren, who he loved unconditionally.
Leaving to mourn with many beautiful memories are his wife; Linda, children; Alonzo (Tammy), Stacy, Willis (Lana), Priscilla and Kayla (Jacob), His precious grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Joshua, Kristopher, Benjamin, Paige, Wyatt, Kevin, Morgan, Madison, Adeola, Adewale and Ezra. Siblings; Marjorie (Milton), Greta, Judy, Cassie (Norm) and Beaton. Also leaving to mourn are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Wilson was predeceased by his parents; Willis and Ruby Hampton. Siblings; Eugene, Leonard and Wycliff Hampton.
The family of Wilson Hampton would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Western Long Term Care Home during his stay there. Your compassion, patience and kindness did not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. Also a special thank you to his niece; Ruby Cumby for Wilson during his final weeks, as well as a special thank you to his niece Cathy Hampton for being by his side and holding his hand during his time of passing.
The visitation will be taking place at The United Church in Howley on Tuesday, August 9th,2022 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, also where the funeral will take place on Wednesday, August 10th,2022 at 2pm with Major Henry Bingle officiating. In keeping with Wilsons wishes cremation will take place and inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family or to a charity of one’s choice in Wilson’s memory.
