The Willoughby’s announce with sadness that Nancy passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore General Hospital on Friday, September 2, 2022. She was married to her sweetheart and best friend Ronald James Willoughby for 55 years. Nancy leaves behind her husband, sons Tom (Tina) and Neil, her brother Bill (predeceased by her sister-in-law Barbara) and her grandchildren Meagan, Katie as well as brothers-in-law Paul “Curly” (Jan) and Peter (predeceased by her sister-in-law Grace) and many nieces and nephews. Born in London, Ontario as the eldest of Alan and Jean Carswell, she was raised and educated in London and lived there half of her life. She lived the other half in the West Island of Montreal. She will be missed by many friends: Paul and Sue, Don and Claire, Cliff and Joceylyn, Alice, Ann as well as many others. Her family was her unwavering focus throughout her life. Her family wishes to express sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, orderlies, and social workers that treated and supported her at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Ste Anne’s Hospital, the MUHC and Residence Vivalis.
Visitation will take place at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 7 to 9 p.m. The service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, September 7th at 11 a.m. Burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario on Friday, September 9 at 3:30 p.m.
