Willis Brady 7 juin 1922 7 juin 2022

Willis passed away peacefully on his 100th Birthday at the cottage on Little Cedar Lake, Messines, Quebec. His wife of many years Catherine Thompson (deceased) shared their love of gardening and meeting the challenges of raising 11 children: Linda, Judith, Joyce, Patrick, Donna, Susan, Michael-John, David, Timothy, Christopher and Jennifer. In 1953, Willis and his brother John started Brady Bros Transport company, which Willis finally retired from at the age of 75. Willis was an avid outdoorsman and founded the Cox Lake Fish and Game Club in 1962. Some of his best times were spent hunting and fishing with family and friends. We will miss his dry sense of humour, determination, and a love of family get-togethers, the last being his 100th birthday celebration.
Friends may pay their respects at the McConnery’s Funeral Home 206 rue Cartier, Maniwaki, Qc, Friday June 17th from 9:00am to 11:00am. Funeral service will follow at 11:30am and be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 253 des Oblats, Maniwaki, QC. Interment will be at the Assomption Cemetery#1 with reception to follow.
Commemorative donation to the Association for the Protection of the Cedar Lakes (APLC) at aplcedre.ca would be appreciated.

  1. Dear Joyce and Family: My sympathy on the death of your Father. So many memories–of a winter carnival weekend with your wonderful family, and our exciting tour of Europe with Clara, a super goal in our young teaching days. Sorry we lost contact.
    Best wishes, Helen McIntosh
