William Hutchinson 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Hutchinson. After a two year battle with many illnesses, Bill passed away peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on March 8, 2022 at the age of 80. Deeply loved husband of Gloria Hutchinson (nee Bonnell) for 21 years. Loving father to Lisa (Michel), Christopher (Jennifer). Stepchildren David (Debbie), Ann (Steve), Jim (Bev), John (Claire). Grandchildren Bryan Degagne (Kelsey). Step-grandchildren Garrett (deceased), Jessica (Danny), Michael, Christopher, Bob, Sam, Liam, Jeremy, Benjamin, and great-stepgrandchild Axel. William was predeceased in death by his first wife Marie Hutchinson (nee Cadieux) and sisters Eleanor Sankarsingh and Verna Coups. William (Bill, with one L because no one pronounces the second one) was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Known for being kind hearted, thoughtful, funny, loving, and a mischievous prankster. He had careers at Toronto Hydro and Toronto City Hall before retiring at 55 years old. Little known facts about Billy Boy (as many called him). He was a boxer when he was a young man who competed at Maple Leaf Gardens. He was a part time DJ at weddings and parties, an avid physical fitness enthusiast and a huge Tennis fan. Bill enjoyed gardening and all his homes and cottage had beautifully manicured yards. He loved music and was often seen having a Scotch or raking leaves while blaring Janis Joplin. He was also a fabulous and adventurous cook and enjoyed cooking for family. Cremation with private arrangements. Those wishing to, may make a memorial donation to Cancer Research or the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of William
