William Craig Gourley 1950 2022

Obituary of William Craig Gourley
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William “Bill” Gourley, loving husband of Shirley Bolton Gourley, on April 24, 2022, at Horizon’s Saint John Regional Hospital. Born November 8, 1950, in Verdun, Quebec, he was the son of the late William and Jessie Fraser Gourley.
Bill was by definition an entrepreneur. From an early age, Bill had the natural ability for buying and selling. Looking for solutions to feed his young family, Bill used a small inventory of automotive parts to pave the way, and became one of Canada’s largest detailing chemical companies.
Bill never lost sight of the importance of family and community. He dedicated many years to his community by providing leadership and support to Scouts Canada, the Fredericton Community Kitchens, Nashwaaksis United Church and many more. He will forever be remembered as a community man that only wanted to spread love and support to those in need.
In addition to his beloved Shirley, Bill is survived by his children: Craig, Mark & Bruce as well his princesses Natasha, Sara and Nicole; grandchildren: Will, Elle, Emma, Daxton and Owen.
A funeral service will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Nashwaaksis Untied Church (46 Main St, Fredericton, NB) followed by a Family and Friends Reunion will be held from 3-6 p.m. at Monks & Jonesie Restaurant at the Fredericton Golf Club (331 Golf Club Rd, Fredericton, NB).
For those who wish, remembrances to the Fredericton Community Kitchens and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
