Obituary of William Andrew Down
It is with broken hearts we announce William (Bill) Down, 60, of Sheffield Mills passed away unexpectedly at the QEII on May 12, 2022 with family by his side. He is survived by his brother, John of Edmonton, AB; sisters, Karen of Digby, Julie Stevenson of East Preston and Deanna (Hal) White of Clementsport; nephew, Adam White; nieces, Jennifer Down and Wendy White; great-nephews, Brendan Down, Connor and Cameron White; great-niece, Savannah Down and great-great-nephew, Leo. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Annette (Nadeau) Down and brother-in-law, Travis Stevenson.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the medical team at his place of employment, Michelin, who were first to attend to his needs, staff at the VRH and the paramedics who transported him. Most dear to the family’s hearts are the doctors and nurses, specifically Angie, of ICU Unit 5.2 at the QEII.
A funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, May 20, 2022 from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Father Raymond Odumuko officiating. Private family interment will take place in Maple Vista Cemetery, Clementsport. Donations in Bill’s memory may be sent to the Nova Scotia Diabetic Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
May he be fondly remembered for his infectious laugh, heartwarming smile and for how deeply he loved all of his family. The void his loss has created is infinite and he will be loved and missed always and forever.
