William Tulk
September 10, 1937 – June 16, 2022
Passed away peacefully Thursday, June 16th, 2022 at Pleasant View Towers surrounded by his loving family. Bill was a teacher for 25 years and retired from that profession in 1990. He taught at the following schools during his career, Immaculate Conception (Paradise), Holy Trinity (Torbay), Beaconsfield Elementary and St. Augustines (both in St. John’s).
Bill was predeceased by parents William and Mary Tulk (O’Dea), sister Kay Jacobs (Tulk)and her husband Bill Jacobs, parents-in-law Peter Butler and Elizabeth Butler (McGrath). Brothers-in-law Peter Butler (Josephine), John Butler and his wife Noreen Butler (Manning).
Leaving to mourn Bill’s loving wife Dorothy Tulk (Butler), daughter Nicole Umbach (Michael) and Nicole’s two sons, Liam and Cameron Hunter. Poppy’s boys whom he loved dearly. Daughter Natasha. Sister Brenda Tulk and her family in British Columbia. Brother Gerard and his family in St. John’s. Sister Kay (deceased) and her family. Sister-in-law Maureen Cheeseman (Phonse) and their children, and children of deceased. Brothers-in-law Peter (Josephine) and John Butler (Noreen). He will be forever missed by his cuddle buddy London.
Bill’s family would like to express much gratitude and admiration for the loving and caring staff of 3NE at Pleasant View Towers, especially Jenny, Jenna, Phyllis, Lisa, Keith and Michael.
Bill loved the outdoors, camping, swimming, bowling and playing softball. He loved watching the Toronto Blue Jays and listening to Elvis.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Parish, Torbay, or Heavenly Creatures.
Cremation has already taken place as per Bill’s wishes. Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay Monday, June 20th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 Holy Trinity Church, Torbay with a time to be announced. Inurnment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery on Bauline Line, Torbay.
