We regret to announce the death of William Stevenson at the age of 86 years, on January 3, 2022, at the Sensenbrenner Hospital. Born and raised in Scotland, William was a hardworking man, having worked in coal mines before emigrating to Canada in 1970. Once in Kapuskasing, he worked at Spruce Falls Power and Paper for the remainder of his career. In his spare time, William enjoyed playing darts and watching the Maple Leafs.
William leaves in mourning his wife, Gloria; one son, Martin; one grandson, Matthew; and one brother, Alec Stevenson of Scotland. He was predeceased by one son, David; his parents, William and Christina; and one sister, Sadie Cook.
Cremation was held at the Guenette Crematorium. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 85, or the Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation as expressions of sympathy. ©

Né et élevé en Écosse, William était un homme assidu, ayant travaillé dans les mines de charbon avant d’émigrer au Canada en 1970. Rendu à Kapuskasing, il a travaillé chez la Spruce Falls Power and Paper pour la durée de sa carrière. Comme passe-temps, il aimait jouer aux fléchettes et regarder les Maple Leafs de Toronto.
