William Stanley Burgess (UPDATED)
1946-2022
BASS RIVER, NB – William Stanley Burgess, 75, of
Bass River passed away suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital after a
brief illness at home on Saturday, January
22nd, 2022. Born in Beersville, he was the son
of the late Thomas and Florence (Cochrane) Burgess.
Before retiring, William worked as a foreman for C.N.R.
Signals and Communications. He could turn his hand to almost anything

craftsman. He was a man of faith who loved and served the Lord and his
neighbours. He was a past Church Warden at Saint-Paul’s
Anglican Church, Browns Yard. William was always willing to lend a
helping hand, generous and kind. You knew he cared if he tormented
you; he was full of fun and mischief.
William leaves to mourn his loving wife, Alice Connors; his
daughter, Victoria Kristensen of Moncton; his step-children, Chad
Connors (Kim) of Bass River, Gina Scott of Moncton, Valorie Alexander
of B.C. and Carol Kurtz (Ron) of Cambridge, ON; his nine
grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Corey, Emily, Julia, Samantha, Josey,
Connor and Owen; as well as his six great-grandchildren, Donovan,
Vayda, Madison, Jax, Jones and Wesson.
William will also by sadly missed by his sisters, Loretta
Campbell and Agnes Mitchell, both of Moncton; his brother, Charles
Burgess (Maureen) of Beersville; as well as by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, William was predeceased by his son
Andrew and great-grandson, Liam.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from
noon until 1:30 pm at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Browns
Yard. A private service will be held for the family after
