William Richard Harman
April 25, 1949 – November 1, 2022
Bill Harman passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, B.C., after a lengthy battle with COPD.
Bill leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years, Linda, daughters Carrie & Catharine (Steve Haynes), grandsons Lars DeFehr and Justin DeFehr, and great-grandson Asher Defehr, sisters Christine Boving(Robert) and Janet Anderson (Lloyd), and brother Rod.
Bill was born in Vancouver and grew up on Capital Hill in Burnaby BC. Bill worked at various jobs throughout his life, logging, working on the tugs, & in construction. He met his future wife in White Rock, BC and married Oct 1, 1971. In 1975 the family moved to Lone Butte, BC where Bill built the family home and then started his own business, Fawn Lake Lumber, which he owned & operated for 30 years.
Bill was a loving and devoted family man. He enjoyed time spent with his girls, building swings, forts, and a playhouse. He loved fishing, hunting, family picnics and exploring various lakes in the area. He also enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas & Reno.
In 2005 Bill and Linda moved to Kamloops, BC. Bill worked as a handyman, doing small renovations and various jobs. In his retirement he spent many happy hours fishing the local lakes, playing golf and playing the slots at the casino. Bill could always be found enjoying an afternoon beer with friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. No service upon request.
