Myette, William Edward
“Billy”, age 75, Little Dover, Guysborough
County, formerly from Summerside Road, Heatherton, passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Eastern Memorial
Hospital, Canso.
Born in
Antigonish on October 28, 1947, to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth
(DeYoung) Myette, he was the last surviving member of his
family.
Billy was a
kind and gentle man, doing no harm to anyone. He loved to go
to the mini home in Heatherton and visit Tim Horton’s to
chat with his buddies. He worked as a pulp cutter but spent
most of his working life at the Fish Plant in Canso, Lismore and
Auld’s Cove as well as landscaping in
Antigonish.
He is survived
by his loving wife of 54 years, Velda (Boudreau) Myette who was the
love of his life. Also, his furry baby Jessie whom he loved
dearly and his chosen brother, Harry.
Besides his
parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donnie Myette, in laws,
Wallace and Louella Boudreau and a sister in
infancy.
Cremation has
taken place. Following his wishes, there will be no
visitation. A graveside service will be held in St.
Mary’s Cemetery, Heatherton on Wednesday, December
21st at 2:00 pm with Reverend Dennis Lamey
presiding.
