William Dale Ward Tuesday December 20th 2022

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on 20 December 2022, in his 83rd year. He was the beloved husband of Natalie Ward for 53 years and loving father of Mylène Ward (David Harvey) and Vincent Ward (Julie Ward/Bourbonnais). Dear son of the late George and Eileen Ward. Dear brother of Carol Ann Morris (Ralph) and the late Roy Ward (Catrina). Much loved Grandpa to Samuel, Zakari, and Amina Ward; and Elliot and Charlotte Harvey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. FOndly reembered by the Belch Family.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 941 Woodroffe Avenue, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11AM.
Also, friends may visit family at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry (at O’Connor) on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa between 2 – 4PM and 6 – 8PM.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dale’s postsecondary studies included University of Saskatchewan, Aix En Provence, University of Toronto. He worked as a librarian in Laval University, St. Foy, St. Lawrence College, and University of Ottawa.
His assurance of everlasting life was through the grace of God which is given in Christ Jesus.

  1. We wish to offer our condolences to all of you. We know what you are experiencing having travelled the same path when our Rick (Dale’s) cousin passed away last October. May God give you the strength to endure this loss.

  2. Dear Natalie and family,
    I am so sorry for your loss. I have nothing but great respect for Dale. He was such an understanding and empathetic person. Working for him taught me to be a better person.
    Everyone was an equal in his eyes.
    He had great love and respect for his family, friends and co-workers.
    Unfortunately due to illness I cannot attend the service but my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
    God bless and may he Rest In Peace amongst all the angels in heaven.
