It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Cummings at the age of 76 while surrounded by his loving family after a brief, but courageous battle of cancer on March 4th, 2021 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
Predeceased by his infant daughter Kelly Anne Cummings, Parents Mary (Dooley) and Donald Cummings Sr., Mother and Father in-law Bride and Harry Williams, sister Linda Bulger, brothers Kevin, Sam & John Cummings, Brothers in-law Frank, Harry and John Williams, Ron Fitzgerald and Gunter Kleinwort, Sister-In Law Joan Marie Williams, Nephews Jimmy Cummings, Robert & John Williams.
Leaving to mourn, his soulmate and best friend of 58 years Margaret (Williams) Cummings, his devoted children; sons Kevin and Gerard, daughter Karen, and two precious granddaughters Meghan and Rebecca Renouf. As well, sister Joan Smith (Robert) Ontario, Brothers Don (Judy), and Bernard Cummings, Sisters in-law, Eileen, Sherry and Jamie Cummings, Eleanor Fitzgerald, Catherine Kleinwort and Marg Williams, Brother-in-law Gerard Williams (Sharyn) Calgary, and Uncle Sid Dooley. A very special family member, Linda Holwell, who held a special place in his heart and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends.
Bill was a retired CN employee and a member of Knights of Columbus, Terra Nova Council 1452, St. Clare Avenue.
A special thank you to the nurses and doctors on 6th West St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, family doctors, Paul and Doug Skirving and Dr. M. Khraishi for their compassion and care.
At Bill’s request cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 12 noon – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
