William “Bill R Ellison – Celebration of Life 2022

William Ross Ellison, age 85, of Stratford, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Spruce Lodge. Born in Stratford, son of the late William and Annie (Lewis) Ellison. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara Ann (Buckley) Ellison on July 21, 2013 after 58 years of marriage. Bill and his wife Barb owned and operated Ellison’s Service Centre on Wellington Street in Stratford for many years. He was also a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Loving father of Paul Ellison and friend Jane, Judy Miller and friend Randy. Dear grandfather of Pam Ellison and Lindsey Miller and great grandfather to Tyson Paola. Bill will be remembered by his brother Jim (Helen) Ellison and sister-in-law Ruth (Ross) Ney. Bill was predeceased by his in-laws Walter and Mary Buckley, Don Buckley, Doug (Doris) Buckley, Marion (Ralph) Price, Joyce (John) Fallows, Kay Buckley, Ken Buckley and his son-in-law Dennis Miller. Judy and Paul would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful staff at Spruce Lodge for the exceptional care given to their father. It is truly appreciated. The family is celebrating their dad’s life with a private funeral service, followed with interment in Avondale Cemetery.
A celebration of life is being held at Army Navy & Air Force Hall in Stratford on Sunday October 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
