MACDONALD- William (Bill) A. of Port Colborne passed away at the Welland County General Hospital on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Macdonald (2002), loving father Bill (Loretta) Macdonald, Barbara (Michael) Archer and Kim (Michael) Jackson, dear grandfather of Kevin (Stephanie), Tasha, Lauren (Paul), Melanie (Ryan), Kirsten (Eric), Sara, Myles and Mallorey, great grandfather of Ellie Grace, David, Robert, Samuel, Maxwell, Owen and Joel, brother of George (Ann) Macdonald and Lynda (Charles) Gare, loving companion of Sharon and good friend of Bill and Margaret. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his parents George and Dorothy Macdonald. Born in Port Colborne, Bill has lived in this area all his life. He worked for Simmons Auto Body for many years from where he retired. Bill was a sports enthusiast, loved the outdoors, loved baseball and music. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at the Central United Church, 30 Delhi Street, Port Colborne on Saturday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 am. Celebration of Life to follow at the Canadian Corps, 70 West Street, Port Colborne. Private family interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
