William (Bill) James Purves
Peacefully at Twin Lakes Terrace on Wednesday February 23, 2022, WILLIAM (BILL) JAMES PURVES passed away at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann (Griffin) Purves (2010). Dear father of Tracy Tauvette and her husband James and Vicki Newman and her husband Dale. Grandfather of Korie and Nicholas Sheffer and Shaun and Katelyn Newman (Connor Walton) . Brother of Ola Switzer and his nephew Jim Switzer and his wife Rose and his brother-in-law Martyn Griffin and his wife Susan. Predeceased by parents William James and Mary Margaret. Bill retired from DOW after 25 years of service and enjoyed watching golf and hockey. Bill was devoted friend of Bill W. for over 35 years. Private interment of ashes will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia). Memories, photos or messages of condolence may be shared at www.djrobb.on.ca
