August 15, 1940 – August 25, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Lemay announce his passing. Bill passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at St. Michaels hospital in Toronto on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Beloved husband of Faye Lemay (predeceased Feb 1, 2020).
Loving father of Bonnie Beausoleil (Neil) Bracebridge, Heather Gillmore (Don predeceased) St. Catherine’s.
Proud grandfather “Gramps” of Aaron Beausoleil (Cara), Mitchell Beausoleil (Ingrid), Tracie Welsh, Darrin Gillmore (Laurie) and the late Holly Gillmore.
Great grandfather of Jacob, Simone, Amelia, Stephen, Logan, Sean, Nicholas, Ryan, Alex, Emily and the late Daniel.
Dear brother of Aubrey (Diane), sisters Joyce (Colin) and Joanne (Bill).
Predeceased by parents Art and Lila and brothers Gary and Richard and sisters Muriel, Carol and Sharon.
Bill was a man of few words. He worked hard all his life. He was a plumber by trade and spent many years as a long haul truck driver. Bill retired at seventy when his wife became ill to look after her. Once Faye was placed in a nursing home Bill visited her every day. Bill loved to fish and he and his brother Aubrey had many fishing stories. Bill loved to eat and each morning would like to know what was brewing for supper.
Bill had many health issues over the last few years. He never complained and took each day as it came.
Bill will be missed by his family and friends but we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and with the love of his life Faye!
