“Arthur” – age 84 of Antigonish
formerly of Boylston, Guysborough Co. Passed away in the R.K.
MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish on Friday, March 18, 2022. Born in
Boylston, on June 14, 1937; he was a son of the late Arthur Lawrence
and Effie (Skinner) Ash.
Arthur had multiple jobs, Willard Myers Pulp truck, Horatio
Morrow Oil Truck, Masterfoods Antigonish, Canso Fishery, hauling
lobsters to the States and a brick layer in Montreal.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Lynn Hillier
(Michael), Halifax; Debbie Reddick, Lincolnville; Karen Reddick,
Ontario, Isabell Morris and Grace Ann Morris, both of Monastery; sons,
Delbert, Newmarket, Ont.; Garnet, Dartmouth; Perry, Boylston; Steven,
Newmarket, Ont.; sisters, Clara Ashe, and Bessie (Cecil) Reddick, all
of Boylston; brother, Fred (Sophie) Lawrence, Toronto, ON; and many
nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his
son, Jerry; sister, Susie Lawrence (Jethro), (Monastery); brothers,
Leonard Lawrence, (Canso); Gordon Lawrence, (Halifax).
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25 from 2-4
and 6-8 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral
service will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 2 p.m. in
Sunnyville United Baptist Church with Pastor Clara Jordan officiating.
Burial will take place in Boylston Baptist Church
Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Arthur to
Boylston Baptist Church Cemetery, Care of Bessie Reddick, 285 Back
