Death Notice of Willemina Meyerink
Willemina Meyerink, of Durham, passed away peacefully at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022 in her 95th year. She was a loving mother to Gerrit Hendrick (Darlene) of Walkerton, Harm of Hanover, Bruce (Cindy) of Hanover, and Wallace of Durham. Grandmother to Stacy and husband Dave of Surrey, BC, Stephannie and husband Hami of Abbottsford, BC, and Ashley of Hanover. Great-grandmother to Hayley and Jackson of Hanover, Amelia of Surrey, BC and Cameron of Abbottsford, BC. Predeceased by her husband Gerrit, daughter-in-law Janet, daughter-in-law Marilyn, grandsons Darryl and Earle, parents Harm and Willemina Zwerus, 2 sisters and 4 brothers of The Netherlands.
She made lots of friends in her 22 years in the face prep department at Interforest. When she retired in 1993, she took a well-deserved rest, relaxed and loved to knit. She is remembered by many as “Mama”.
A private family interment of cremated remains will be held at the Durham Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Rockwood Terrace.
