Obituary
Oliver, Wilkie Ronald – Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Georgetown Hospital. Wilkie, in his 78th year; dear husband of Jenifer Oliver (nee McClashie) for 55 years. Proud father of Catherine and Jan. Cherished grandpa of Cyle, Ryann and Rylee. Brother of Ula Williams and the late Edison Ben and Anita Byron. Brother-in-law of Terry McClashie, Yvonne Teague, and Wayne McClashie and the late Carl McClashie and Glenda Lord.
Wilkie will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Wilkie was an avid card player, loved a great game of golf and never shied away from a spirited discussion. He also loved collectible items and surrounded himself with fascinating items from the past.
Our most sincere thanks to the Georgetown Hospital who cared for Wilkie in his last few weeks. We are also grateful for the compassionate care of the Palliative Care team who showed true kindness in his final days.
Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Saturday, November 19, 2022 between 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place, and an inurnment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery, Concord at 3:00pm.
