Obituary of Wilfred Chambers
January 6, 1934 – September 10, 2022
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the family of Wilfred Chambers announces his passing at the age of 88 years. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather, brother and friend. He had been living and cared for at Lane’s Retirement Home since July 2020 and passed away peacefully in Port Saunders at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and he stayed strong until the end.
Wilfred was finally reunited with the love of his life on September 10, 2022. His beloved wife of 50 years, Jessie (Noseworthy) Chambers, died in 2014, and Wilfred spent the last eight years talking about how much he loved her and he was looking forward to seeing her in heaven.
Wilfred lived a long, happy life. He is survived by his children, Keith (Lan Mee), Trixie (Gerald) and Nada; grandchildren, Matthew, Mee-Ya and Donald; great-granddaughter, Jessie, and two sisters, Sophie and Doreen.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11 am at the Church of the Advent, Plum Point, Reverend Terrance Coates officiating.
The Family wishes to send a special thank you to Richard May for his unending support and love as well as to the staff at Lanes Retirement Home and to Dr. Irfan and the nurses at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre for their care and compassion.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Wilfred
