Wilfred Royden Perry 1937 2022

Wilfred Royden
Perry – 84, Truro,
passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Colchester
East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Economy, he was a son of the
late Laverne and Margery (Elliott) Perry.
Wilfred was a quiet, unassuming man who believed in family,
hard work and clean living. He lived for his family, had a great laugh
and sense of humour, unless you were down on his Toronto Maple Leafs!
He loved Standardbred racing and analyzing the race card which was a
passion that he shared with Stephanie. Wilfred will be remembered by
so many for so many reasons.
We are very sad to have to continue on without him, but
grateful that his long standing pain is now over. We take comfort in
having another angel to watch over his family. His main concern was
that his wife, Isabelle, would be okay and able to adjust to losing
her life partner.
Wilfred is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Isabelle
(MacKay); children, Greg (Suzanne), Sheila, Glenn (Brenda);
grandchildren, Matt (Kandace), Chris (Chelsea), Stephanie (Justin),
Corey, Colby; great grandchildren, Sophia, Ryan, Camden; sister, Barb
Gorman, Truro; brother, Elson (Mary) Perry, Truro; numerous nieces and
nephews.
Interment will be held at a later date in Watson Cemetery,
1997 East Prince Street, Salmon River. If so desired, donations in
Wilfred’s memory to VON (Colchester East Hants) are
welcomed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private messages of
condolence may be sent to the family by viewing Wilfred’s
