Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Llewelyn George announce his passing on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 72 years. Wilfred will be deeply missed by his family, who were the light & love of his world, and numerous friends. Wilfred will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and as a man full of life with a desire to live life to the fullest and to be actively present in the lives of all he knew. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, his wife: Dorothy, his children Julie George (Clayton Hickey), and Dwayne George (Sherry George). His grandchildren Brittany George (Adrian Morgan), Kaitlin George (Brandon Smith), Claudia George, Zachery George, and great-granddaughter Lilly Teegan Morgan. As well as a lifelong friend of the family Patrick Byrne. Wilfred will be remembered by his seven sisters, six brothers, six brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law, and ten nieces.
There will be a visitation held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4th, 2022 from the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.; from where a funeral service will take place on Friday, August 5th, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the old Roman Catholic cemetery, Benoit’s Cove, NL. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery Fund.
