Wildia Smith, 80, of Moncton, NB, passed away at her
residence with her family at her side on Friday, June 17,
2022. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Austin and
Thelma (Lutes) Budd.
Wildia attended Cherryfield Baptist Church and was retired
from Canada Post.
Wildia’s greatest love was her family, and she enjoyed
listening to music, especially when her family and grandchildren were
performing.
A loving and caring Mother, Nana, Sister and friend, she will
be sadly missed by her three sons, Joey (Sharon) Smith of Moncton,
Scott (Linda) Smith of Dundas, Kevin (Joanne) Smith of Moncton; by her
loving grandchildren Justine (Nathan) Dempster,
Alisse (Jacob) Tramley, Jemm, Amber, Dougie, Travis, Caitlin and Kody,
and her great grandchildren, Braelyn and Caden; two sisters,
Shirley (Stafford) Cripps of Riverview, Freda (Ken)
Sprague of Moncton; four brothers, Percy (Helen) Budd of ON, Donald
Budd of ON, Ivan (Sharon) Budd of NB and Harold Budd of NB; her
brother in law Robert Sherwood (the late Patricia); as well as her
several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband,
Joseph Smith (Oct. 2021), by their infant son Douglas (1961), and also
by 2 sisters Hatti Allen and Patricia
Sherwood.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral
Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, June
23, 2022, from 6pm to
8pm
The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial
Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 1:30pm with
Pastor Drew Mersereau officiating.
Interment will be in Gladeside Cemetery, Gladeside, NB
immediately following the funeral service.
Donations in Wildia’s memory made to the Cherryfield Baptist
Church would be
appreciated.
