Obituary
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Wes Carr passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022, at the age of 79 years with his immediate family by his side.
Leaving behind his loving wife, Judy, of 60 years and his three children, Shonna, Wanda, and Don (Karen) Carr; six grandchildren; Justin Bedford, Jordan (Alicia) Carr, Amanda (Ryan) Holmes, Caitlyn Barnes, Taylor (Jorey) Kopperrud and Dylan Bedford; and three great-grandchildren; Emma, Zoey, and Levi.
Wes will be remembered by his brothers and sister, Larry (Anne) Carr, Linda (Alan) Johnson, Alan (Ivy) Carr, Brent (Colleen) Carr, and many nieces and nephews. Wes was predeceased by his sister Donna Carr and his parents Mary and Donald Carr.
Wes was born in Turner Valley and moved with his family in Alberta with the oil patch. He started his career as a businessman/owner and he retired (31 years) as Captain from the City of Calgary Fire Department.
Wes will always be remembered for his involvement in his community and was known for his many acts of service and kindness.
Charitable donations may be made in Wes Carr’s name to the Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 24 St SW) on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 11:00am.
