Obituary
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
On February 6, 2022, Wendy Ellen Thatcher, age 62, went to rest in our Saviour’s arms after her weakened heart was unable to carry on.
Wendy was an excellent cook who loved to share recipes with her nieces. She was exceptionally skilled in needlework, knitting, and sewing and shared her creations with family over the years. Wendy adored her family.
Wendy is predeceased by her father and birth mother, William and Marion Thatcher and nephew, David Hack. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Fraser Jamieson; mother, Janis Thatcher; sister and brother-in-law, Tricia and Tom Hack; and nieces: Rebekah (Jordan), Laura (Darren); and Taylor along with other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Trillium Queensway ER and ICU staff for their compassionate care for Wendy.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Social Coffee Bean; owned and operated by Services and Housing in the Province (SHIP) to provide “employment opportunities for individuals living with significant barriers to successful employment”.
