Wayne Gordon Billingsley 1939 2022

Obituary of Wayne Gordon Billingsley
Wayne passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Regina, SK at the age of 82 years. He was born on March 4, 1939 in Cabri, SK to parents Cecil and Mary Billingsley. Wayne’s elementary school years were spent in Waldron, SK, and he later completed High School in Yorkton, SK. In 1960, Wayne began working for PFRA on the South Saskatchewan Dam. Not long after, he married Dianne Jones in 1966, and at this time they had two boys, Ken and Glenn, who were born in Outlook, SK. In 1970, he was transferred to Regina, and here is where their third son, Ron was born. Wayne eventually went on to retire in 1999. He spent his retirement hours working on different projects in his garage and visiting with friends as they would be walking by, spending time with his coffee row friends, travelling to Europe, camping in Saskatchewan, and staying in touch with his many PFRA co-workers. He had a career he enjoyed, but family was always his number one. Wayne is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dianne; brother Dale Billingsley; sons Ken, Glenn and Ron; grandchildren, Mathew, Lara, Mark, Tye, Charlotte, Maria and Clara; great-grandchildren, Brookloyn, Elijah, Hannah, Samual, Liem and Alivia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Mary Billingsley; and one brother, Rowland Billingsley. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Cowley and the nurses and dietary staff at Wascana 3-2 for your wonderful care. No Funeral Service will be held.
