Obituary of Wayne David Talbot
TALBOT, Wayne of Port Dover passed away peacefully on Friday February 4, 2022 at Norfolk General Hospital surrounded by his loving Daughters, in his 83rd year. Loving father and father- in-law of Kerry and Brian Jensen of Port Dover, Nancy Talbot and Berle Anthony of Hagersville and Melisa and Brodie Chambers of Port Dover. Much loved grandfather of Stephen (Dee), Joshua (Jaime), Rebeca, Emily, Kennedy and Carson, great-grandfather of Logan and Lucas. Wayne is survived by 7 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Pearl, grandson Nathan (2001), parents Kenneth and Lois, brother John and sister Evelyn. Wayne was a social butterfly and people person, he would talk to anyone that would listen, he enjoyed watching hockey but his true pride and joy were his grandchildren and his great grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff of NGH, specifically the ICU, 3B and 4B for all their kindness and compassion. Friends are invited to meet with family to share their memories of Wayne on Thursday February 10, 2022 from 7pm – 9 pm and on Friday February 11, 2022 from 2 pm – 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 102 First Ave Port Dover 519-583-1530. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the funeral home chapel at 11 am. The Reverend Kathryn Vance officiating. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. If you wish to attend visitation and/or the service please call the funeral home to reserve a spot.
