Wayne’s Obituary
BALSOR, Wayne Myles – 71, of Black Rock, Kings Co., passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Myles and Marion (Sweeney) Balsor. Raised in Black Rock, Kings Co., this is the place he called home his entire life. He loved the ocean, fishing, and walking the beach for “treasures”. Wayne spent most of his life behind the wheel of a big truck, preferably a Kenworth, running up and down the east coast of North America, leaving a path of scale dodging, memories, friendship, and community. He loved dogs, and always had a treat “to hold a dog over”. He was passionate about a Ford Truck, and could often be found washing, waxing and tinkering with his Fords. Wayne is survived by his sons, Dean (Kelly), Darren (Eryn), Dana (Stephanie); grandchildren, Dakota, Dawson, Kelsy, Karsen, Cody and Rowan; brother, Gary Balsor; sister Wendy (Richard) Strong. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by wife, Donna (Strong); brother, Merle Balsor. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date, with the time and place of the event communicated by the family. Donations in his memory may be made to Kings Co. S.P.C.A. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Online guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
