Obituary
It is with great sadness Ruth (his wife) and his family announce the sudden passing of Wayne Edward Jacques on July 16, 2022, at the age of 65.
Wayne was born on February 11, 1957, in Winnipeg, MB, to Sadie and John Jacques. He married Ruth Elaine Fowler on August 1, 1981, in Winnipeg, MB. While living in Winnipeg, he was an active member of the Optimist Club. In Calgary, he was a very active member of the Calgary Kinsman Club. After moving to Claresholm, he joined the Claresholm Kinsmen Club.
Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Ann Jacques, in 1997, his father, John Edward Jacques, in 2016 and his stepmother Patricia Jacques in 2021. He is survived by his wife Ruth, brothers Darrell (Cindy) Jacques, Lyle Jacques, brother-in-law Lionel (Debbie) Fowler, sister-in-law Lorna Zammit, eight nephews, John (Cindy), James (Amanda), Joel Jacques, Greg (Erin) and Brian (Carolyn) Fowler, Richard Zammit and Charles Zammit, three nieces, Jennifer (David) Froese, Kelsey and Hailey Jacques, also many great nieces
and nephews.
Ruth wishes to extend sincere thanks to all our wonderful friends and relatives who have helped and offered support. There will not be a funeral at Wayne’s request.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta,119-14 St NW #100, Calgary AB, T2N1Z6.

  1. Condolences Ruth from Wayne’s Grand & Toy family. He was a great friend to many of us. We wish he had been able to live out a long retirement with you but it was not to be. We will all remember his big smile and eye twinkle when he was explaining something technical. He was so enthusiastic about life.
