Dwight Upshaw – 68 of Kentville, Nova Scotia, passed away
unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at home. Born in Windsor,
Nova Scotia on October 19, 1954, he was a son of Dollie (States)
Upshaw and the late Randolph Upshaw. In earlier years, Wayne worked at
Canadian Tire, Windsor; Hostess, New Minas; Camp Aldershot; food
service at National Defense, Stadacona; and was owner of Upshaw
Drywall & Painting. Wayne is survived by daughter, Tabitha
Atwell; grandchildren, Drewcilla, Tobin, Chloe, Xavier; great
grandchild, Ezekiel; sisters, Carol, Palema, Geneva, Emeline (Chester
States), Audrey and Colleen; brothers, David, Randy, Kevin (Shay
MacKinnon), Wendell, Peter (Patti), and Darren (Mark Finnigan); many
aunts, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
his father, Randolph; brother-in-law, Johnny, and nephew, Jody.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A
funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022,
in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville with a livestream of the
service available at that time. Reverend Glenn Gray officiating.
Donations in memory may be made to Gibson Woods Baptist Church
Cemetery c/o Michael Upshaw (1152 Lanzy Road, Kentville, NS B4N 2V2)
or the Salvation Army, Kentville. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
