Obituary
Campbell, Wayne Angus… Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Trenton Memorial Hospital at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband & anam cara to Dianne Campbell (nee Johns) of Frankford. Devoted father to Heather Reath & proud “Grampy” to Grace of Woodstock and Jason Campbell of Mississauga. Wayne was loved and will be greatly missed by their blended family; Graeme (Lexi) Crothers of Jasper, ON, Andrew (Sherry) Crothers of Edmonton, AB, Shelby (Pete) Cowan of Shelburne and Shawn Cobbett of Milton. Wayne is a proud Grampy to Christian, Lily, Gavin, Kaelyn, Damien, Maverick, Violet Rose and Wesley. Survived by his sister Joan (late Keith) Richards and family. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by all of Dianne’s family as well as their many friends. Wayne and Dianne were former owners and Innkeepers of Montrose Inn, Quinte West for over 14 years. Wayne served on numerous boards within the Quinte West with his favourite project was working with the Santa Claus Parade Float for many years. His long time passion of aviation led him to earn his pilot’s license at the age of 66 years and later to become a volunteer with the Lancaster Restoration Project. At Wayne’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Weaver Life Centre, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on August 18, 2022 from 5-8 pm. A service of remembrance to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held on Friday, August 19th, 2022 at 11:00 am. Donations to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation or KB-882 Lancaster Project – National Air Force Museum of Canada.
